MODERN SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING STATEMENT

The Modern Slavery Act 2015 obliges all commercial organisations with a turnover in excess of £36 Million to provide a statement concerning their efforts to address and combat slavery and human trafficking, both within their supply chains and within their own business.

The Cruden Group is committed to maintaining and improving its systems and processes to combat slavery and human trafficking in order to avoid complicity in human rights violations related to our own operations and those of our supply chains.

Our supply chains include companies who supply products and materials, specialist trade sub-contractors, labour-only sub-contractors and professional organisations that provide a range of design services to the Cruden Group of construction and development companies.

We recognize that slavery and human trafficking can occur in many forms including practices involving coerced labour for the purpose of exploitation. We believe that by working in partnership with our clients, stakeholders and our supply chains in a fair and sustainable manner enables us to maintain and develop long-term working relationships using practical, transparent and safer methods of ethical trading free from slavery and human trafficking.

Our Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all of our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in our organisation or anywhere within our supply chains. We undertake all practical steps to ensure that our standards are being implemented throughout our own business dealings and those of our supply chains whilst ensuring that all relevant legislation and regulations are complied with. We will only employ and trade with those who comply with this Policy.

Staff awareness training on slavery and human trafficking is provided to Cruden employees as appropriate emphasising the potential risks to our business operations and the requirements of our staff and our supply chain to operate in accordance with our Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy and in compliance with the Anti-slavery Laws noted within the Act.

This statement has been approved by our Board of Directors, who will review and update it as necessary on an annual basis. This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our Group’s Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement for the financial year ending 31 March 2024.
