Salford Quays Refurbishment Contract for Cruden Construction

Cruden Construction has commenced refurbishment works to Ontario House, an established and significant office building at Salford Quays, for the Welbeck Estates Company Ltd, a major UK property portfolio owner.

Working with Architects, Costorphine + Wright’s Manchester office, Cruden Construction will undertake a £4.3m contract to overhaul the building’s appearance with new rainscreen cladding, curtain walling, windows and a full refurbishment of the internal spaces, including some re-modelling to create a new café area. A major upgrading to the buildings mechanical, electrical and IT services infrastructure, designed by Parker Wilson Consulting, forms a major part of the works, which are due for completion in the Autumn of 2018.

Cruden will also work with cost consultants WT Partnership, Consulting Engineers, Marston and Grundy and Health & Safety Consultants, CDM Services.

Cruden Construction is delighted to be entrusted to undertake this important contract, which continues the company’s divergence from a reliance on residential sector contracts into a wider range of construction and property sectors across the North West.
