A team of ten volunteers from Cruden and our supply chain spent a very energetic Sunday at Salford City Reds stadium running, jumping, sliding, falling, shouting and even bouncing all in the name of charity in the 2011 It's a Knock Out Challenge hosted by Salford City Council.
Team 'Carry on Cruden' were aiming to raise money for Salford City Council's charity The Salfordian Trust which is a holiday hotel in Southport for elderly Salford residents.
Competition was fierce between the teams, all trying to secure those important extra few points through fancy dress, team chants and decorated team tents but with the help of the Considerate Contractors kind donation of Ivor Goodsite, Crudens cuddly builder team mascot was streets ahead and hit with kids.
After much fun, games and plenty of laughter the team secured third place out of the 17 teams competing and were awarded their bronze medals from Salford's Mayor.
The 'Carry on Cruden' team were captained by Senior Marketing Officer, Emma Jayne Brown who commented 'It was a really fun day enjoyed by all, thank you so much to everyone who showed their support, cheered us on and sponsored us, the sore muscles and few bruises were well worth it for third place and raising over £1000 for the Salfordian Trust'
Thanks go to the team for getting involved; Audrey Headspith, John Dean, Kerry Upton, Tom Armstrong, Nicola Upton, Emma Jayne Brown, Daniel Davidson, Dave Trueman, Alan Knapper Stephen Dearden and Richard Tindale.
Special thank you all who sponsored 'Carry on Cruden' and to CD&P Media who provided graphics for the matching team t-shirts and Nickle Promotions for donating and printing them.
