New Works Management System Implemented for Cruden Property Service Picture

'Project Horizon', as the project is known internally, is the largest scale infrastructure project that Cruden Property Services (CPS) has ever launched.

CPS have re-engineered all service delivery processes and launched a comprehensive, bespoke IT solution that allows teams to deliver fast, efficient services for many RSL residents' repairs and maintenance needs.

In November 2011, the Implementation Team were keen to meet the window of opportunity to launch the new system for the Harvest Housing Group's Repairs and Maintenance Contract, who's works management function is based from Southwood House, Salford.

The new system is centred on intelligent works management, OPTI TIME job scheduling and electronic purchase order management combined with state of the art mobile working allowing Operatives in the field to view and update their jobs in real time.

As well as future proof job scheduling and mobile working technology for enhanced workforce performance, the solution will allow office based and field based teams to work together seamlessly in real time. This will improve customer experience further and bring a wealth of efficiencies for work planners in the management of job lifecycle progression.

It is a unique environment in which social housing repair and maintenance contracts are delivered and Cruden have taken the lessons learnt from their previous in house purpose built IT system. The 'best of breed' solution has been dictated by over 10 years of meeting and exceeding the needs and aspirations of partner clients.

Paul Fadden, Project Manager commented "This is a significant investment in the future of our business, driven by the desire to deliver the best possible service to our clients and customers. Thanks must go the Project Implementation Team, made up of representative from around the company, who were all part of the smooth implementation of the new system, their input was invaluable"
