Four of Cruden's recently delivered projects are nominated for the Northwest Building Control Excellence Awards 2011. These awards are regional heats for a national event held by Local Authorities to promote and recognize builders and building throughout England and Wales.
Cruden were delighted to receive news that four of our recently delivered projects had been selected due to their outstanding quality standards. The projects include;
Willow Bank Extra Care Village, Gorsey Lane, Wirral
Willow bank is a £7.5m 51 bedroom extra care apartment development with 19 bungalows and community facilities including residents lounge, restaurant, hairdressing salon, activity room and well-being centre. The project was negotiated under a PPC 2000 Partnering Contract with client Housing 21, incorporating the best elements of the design and build approach.
Sherbourne Road New Build and Refurbishments, Crewe, Cheshire
A £3.5m partnering contract with client Wulvern Housing Trust in Crewe Cheshire. Nine modern new build homes and 51 refurbishments were delivered to transform Sherbourne Road for Wulvern Housing Trust residents.
Belong Crewe Extra and Dementia Care Village, Crewe, Cheshire
Belong Crewe is a £5.9m Extra Care village comprising 65 high dependency units and 12 extra care apartments with communal facilities including, gym, café, restaurant, bar and hairdressing salon.
Bungalows on Jurby Avenue, Higher Blakeley, Manchester
The first social housing built by Manchester City Council in 30 years, the 32 bungalows with a value of £3.8m was delivered through the Framework One 2009 partnership.
Each of the nominations are now being reviewed by the judging panel for winners in each category. The finalists will be invited to attend the prestigious North West Building Excellence Awards 2011 at the Reebok Stadium on Friday 13th May 2011.
