The Cruden Group have been working in close partnership with Manchester City Council on both the Small Works Framework and more recently Framework One. As a proactive partner in many community based initiatives with the council Cruden are delighted to be recognized as part of the winning team at the annual Government Opportunities (GO) magazine Excellence in Public Procurement Awards.
The prestigious GO Awards ceremony was held on Thursday 4th June 2009 at the Institute of Civil Engineers in London. The Manchester City Council Partnership was the winner of the GO Excellence in Sustainability and Social Procurement Award for the Young People in to Construction Initiative.
Manchester City Council started the Young Persons Initiative with the aim to provide employment for school leavers from the Manchester area with contracting partners such as Cruden Group.
To date Cruden have employed Joshua Heavens on a full time basis as a Trainee Estimator and have Becky Mawdsley working in our accounts department on a temporary basis. Due to the success of the placements so far, Cruden are looking at the recruitment of an additional person on a full time basis to assist our Commercial Manager.
Congratulations go to all of the members of the Manchester City Partnership on such a prestigious award.
