Together with our generous supply chain, Cruden volunteers were delighted to create an outdoor class room for the children of Armitage School in Gorton.
Armitage School is next door to one of Cruden's latest projects, 29 homes for local Housing Association Guinness Northern Counties. The Cruden team have worked closely with the primary school throughout the project to ensure health and safety around the live site environment has been effectively communicated to the school children.
In a true team effort led by Contract Manager Peter Blake, Joseph Parr Builders Merchants supplied the timber, Crawford Engineering donated funds for materials, Termstall Fencing installed the posts for seating and decking support whilst PJC Coating provided the coating and finishing for the outdoor blackboard.
Dave Cheetham Joinery helped Peter Blake and Stephen Peachey to install the outdoor classroom taking just one morning's hard work to complete.
Thanks go to all involved. The children and teachers were delighted with the new facility and look forward to plenty of interesting outdoor lessons and playtimes whilst the weather is good.
