The handover of the major Brunswick Gardens, Springbank Court and Elkin Court ' Extra-care Retirement' complexes, and the ground-breaking ceremony at the Larchfields 'Village' in St Helens recently, has further signalled Cruden Construction's pre-eminent role as a leader in 'Extra-care' development, design and construction.

A detailed report on the 'Extra-care' / Retirement development sector by Cruden Group Marketing Manager David Dickie revealed that the market is developing rapidly, in-line with the UK demographic which is showing an ageing population in need of purpose-built property and welfare provision.

Local authorities, housing associations and dedicated, specialist providers such as the ExtraCare Charitable Trust are forming partnerships to create superlative 'Retirement Villages' such as the outstanding Reeve Court and now the £20million Brunswick Gardens scheme in Sheffield, which are focused on providing the very best levels of accommodation, activities and care for older people.

Cruden Construction has established an enviable reputation for its expertise in the 'Extra-care' market." said Cruden's Construction Managing Director Stephen Morris. "Our proven capability to complete projects on-time, on budget and with the highest levels of specification is enhanced by a detailed understanding of the needs of the end-users."

"Cruden Construction can offer its clients wide experience gained on over £90million of 'Extra-care' projects, a proactive approach to change and the continuous fine-tuning of improvements to methods, materials and techniques needed to be the best in the market."
